On The Move
Two of my friends were in India during the recent attacks. Both of them were safe. But, two companions were killed. One of my remaining friends had been travelling outside of Mumbai, alone. He didn't even know my other friend. Yet, he was debating whether to come home or not, saying he felt like a coward to be put off by the terrorists.I e-mailed him back, suggesting maybe it would be wisdom rather than cowardice to come home. Perspective is a determining factor when we are against the wall. What is there to fight for? It wasn't his war. The terrorists were randomly shooting.I know my own perspective is often ill-skewed by fear, misinformation, or pure ignorance.May we all send prayers to those mourning, to the dead, and the militants, who are so far away from the love of humanity? May clarity of a higher purpose enter their consciousness. May the division, the separation from the oneness of all living creatures be corrected and mended. May healing and peace reign in the heat of prejudice and hatred and melt into compassion and love.
